Those are the exact words spoken to me by a client that just learned something they thought was unachievable was not only possible, but able to be replicated.
If you can get a client to taste just one little sample of success, they now have a tangible target to hit.
Fear Of The Unknown
When something is unknown—it doesn’t matter what it is or how easy or difficult—when it has never been experienced, it’s almost impossible to incorporate it into your life.
Your job, as a therapist, is to create an environment where new experiences are safe to have. You get to model and teach and encourage exploration of new ideas and expressions.
Once your client does it for the first time—whatever it is—they will start to see the possibilities of a whole new life that is just waiting to be lived.
I'd love to hear from you, so leave a comment or connect on any of the various social media platforms.
