I’m at the point in my counseling career where I’m understanding more deeply the precarious role we play in people’s lives.
We sit with people who are often at the end of their rope.
There is a very really possibility that they will chose to do things that are dangerous, painful, and harmful to themselves and others. Carrying the responsibility of trying to offer them something that can help them seems impossible sometimes.
Who am I that I think that I have something to offer these folks? Do I really have some sort of wisdom or idea or experience that will truly change their lives?
Today I feel generally inadequate and uprepared to offer anyone anything.
I'd love to hear from you, so leave a comment or connect on any of the various social media platforms.
